Whereas Elizabeth Burge hath applied to me for Letters of Administration, on all and Singular the Goods, Chattels and Credits of Jeremia Burge late of this District, deceased, -- These are therefore to Cite and admonish all and Singular, the Kindred and Creditors of the Said Deceased, to be and appear before me at the Ordinary's Office in Winnsborough. on the Second Monday in Septr Next to show cause if any may have why it Should not be granted-- Given under my hand and Seal this This thirtieth day of July anno Dom, eighteen hundred and one

These are to authorize and Empower You, or any three or four of you, whose Names are herein written to Repair to all Such parts and places Within this district as you shall be directed Unto by Reuben Harrison Administrator of the Estate of Jeremiah Burge deceased, wheresoever any of the goods & chattels of the Said deceased are or to remain, within the Said parts and places and which Shall be Shown you by the Said administrator and there View and appraise all and every the Said goods and chattels. being first Sworn on the Holy Evangelists of almighty God. to Make a true and perfect Inventory and appraisement thereof, and to cause the Same to the Deliver'd Under your hands or any three or four of you to the Said Reubin Harrison within the time prescribed by Law.

Memorandum this 28th of December Personally appeared before me Nicholas Peay one of the Justices of the peace for Fairfield district Zach Nettles, Darling Jones, & William Dunovan being three of the appraisers appointed to appraise the Goods and chattels (Ready Money only Excepted) of Jeremiah Burge Excepted being first Sworn on the Holy Evangelists of Almighty God. to Make a Just and true appraisement of all and Singular the goods & Chattels of Sd deceas'd as Shall be produced them by the Sd Administrator and that they would return the Same certifyed under their hands unto the said Reubin Harrison administrator as aforesaid Within three Months from the date hereof. Whereas Reuben Harrison administrator of the Goods & Chattels of Jeremiah Burge deceased have petitioned for liberty to sell the personal property of Said Estate and it appearing proper upon to investigation to Grant the prayer of Said petitioner
These are therefore to permit and empower the Said administrator to Expose To Sale and public outcry the Whole of the goods the property of Said Estate which May have Come into his hands to the Highest bidder, on a credit of twelve months for all Sums above five Shillings, taking bond with good Security. for five Shillings and all Sums Under cash on delivery. Fifteen days Previous Notice to be Given by public advertisement, & a return of the proceedings of Said Sale to be Made by Said Administrator to the Ordinaries Office aforesaid Within the time prescribed by Law. Given under My hand and Seal this 16th day Nov'r anno dom. 1801
