To the honorable the judges of the Court of Equity of the Said State. The humble petition of Harriet Dukes ??eth unto your honor that your petitioner in en Infant under the age of twenty one years, to wit of the fourteen years and is entitled to a small personal estate and has no one who by the rules of law can take charge of or manage the same by reason whereof your petitioner is liable to sustain some injury
Wherefore your Petitioner Prays that her Father Samuel Duke may be appointed her guardian with full power and authority to take charge of and manage the said Estate for the benefit of your petitioner
and your Petitioner will ever pray
