"State of South Carolina Fairfield District
Know all men by these presents that I Theophilous Wilson of the above mentioned State and District planter For and in consideration of the Sum of thirty four Dollars to me in hand paid by Samuel Duke of the Same State and District planter the receipt whereof is hereby acknowedged have bargained and Sold and by these presents do bargain and sell unto the Said Samuel Duke thirty four acres of land more or less Situate in Fairfield District flatt branch the Waters of 25 Mile creek the Waters of ??? Bounded NW by Samuel Duke Land and W by Said Duke?? NE by his own Land the other Sides by Land Laid unto Isaac Perses & John Steward orginally granted unto Said Theophilous Wilson under the hand of Charles Pinckeney ??? & the First day of August one Thousand Eight hundred and eight Duley recorded in the Secretary office in Book C page 23? Reference being thereunto had will more fully appear to ??? with all and Singualr the rights members and hereditaments appurtenances unto the Said premises belonging or in anyway incident or appertaining to have and to hold all and Singular for? the Said premeses unto the Said Samuel Duke his heirs and Assigns forever and I do hereby bind myself my heirs Executors and Administrators to warrant and forever defend the Said premises unto the Said Samuel Duke his heirs Executors and administrators from myself my heirs and from all persons whomsoever claiming or to Claim the same or any part thereof as Witness my hand and seal this third day of February in the Year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and mine and on the thirty third Year of the Soveregnty and Independence of the United States of North America

Before Alexander Crumpton Esquire one of the Justices assigned to keep the peace in Said District personally appeared Patrict Norris and after being duly sworn on the holy Evangelist Says that he was personally present with George Watts the Subscribing Witnesses and Says they both did See the within named Theophilous Wilson Sign Seal and Deliver this deed of Conveyance unto the within named Samuel Duke For his act and deed For the purpose Within Mentioned
