"To all people whom these presents shall Come I Daniel Muse Junr do send greetings know that I the said Daniel Muse of the State of South Carolina Camden District planter for and in consideration of the Love and goodwill which I do bear to Jesse Dukes of the same state and district Miner have given granted and by these presents do freely give grant unto the sd Jesse Dukes his heirs Executors or admistrators a certain tract of land granted to Wm Howard the 15 day May 1771 containing one ??? and fifty acres be the same more or less situate on the ??? side of Wateree River Both sides of Sawneys Creek bound ??? E. on land granted to Hardy Rice Jernigan all other ??? on vacant land and hath such shape form and marks as appears by a plat therein to the original grant annexed which before the signing of these presents To have and to hold the above Mentioned land in the said ?? him the said Jesse Duke his heirs executors or administrators as his and their proper rights without any maner ??? conditions
In Witness whereof I have herein set my hand and seal this 14th March 1785

Before me personally appeared Moses Dukes and after being duly sworn saith that he saw Daniel Muse sign seal & deliver the within deed gift to Jesse Duke for the use and and purpose therein mentioned and that he saw Darling Jones and Wm Doud sign as witnesses with him
