"The State of South Carolina
Know all men by these presents that we Mary Duke, of Kershaw District the state aforesaid, Agness McKee, Anderson Howze his wife of the District of Lancaster in the state aforesaid planter for and in consideration of the sum of two hundred dollars to us paid by Solomon Williams of Lancaster District aforesaid planter have granted bargained sold and released and by these presents do grant bargain sell and release unto the said Solomon Williams all that tract of land Containing one hundred acres more or less lying or being on the branches of Cedar Creek on the north east side of the Catawba River in the District of Lancaster bounded on the N. by Henry Hudsons land and all other sides by Vacant land at the time of Surveying and hath such Shape form and marks as the plat represents, dated the 6th of March 1773 orginally granted to James McKee, in the year of 1773. Together with all and singular the rights members hereditaments and appurtances to the said premises belonging or in any wise incident or appurtaining To have and to hold all and singular the premises before mentioned unto the said Solomon Williams his heirs and assigns forever and do hereby bind ourselves our heirs Executors and Adm'rs to warrant and defend all and singular the said premises unto the said Solomon Williams his heirs and assigns against ourselves and our heirs, and against any person whomsoever lawfully Claiming or to Claiming or to Claim this the same or any part thereof. Witness our hand and seal this first day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and six and thirtyeth of the Independence of the United States of America.
