"Burrel B. Duke Atty for Moses Duke To Landers L. Hogan, Conveyance.
The State of South Carolina.
Know all Men by these presents that Burrell B. Duke attorney for Moses Duke of Mississippi as well appears from a power given me dated seventh day of February last executed in Lowndes County in said State in the month of February in consideration of three hundred dollars to me paid by Landers L. Hogan of Kershaw District and State aforsaid have granted, bargained sold and released and by these presents do grant bargain, sell and release unto the said Landers L. Hogan all that plantation or tract of land containing two hundred acres more or less, situated in Kershaw District and State aforsaid on Rocky Branch, a branch of Bear Creek and on Bull Bog branch a branch of twenty five mile creek, bounded to the North on lands now owned by Lewis Hogan, to the west on land now owned by Peter W. Rush on the South on lands now owned by David Montgomery to the east by lands said to belong to the heirs of Gen'l Z. Canley. Together with all and singular the Rights, Members, Hereditaments and Appurtenances to the said premises belonging or in any wise incident or appurtaining. To have and to hold all and singular the premises before mentioned onto the said Landers, Heirs and Assigns forever. And I do hereby bind myself, Heirs, Executs and Administrators, to warrant and forever defend all and singular the said premises unto the said Landers L Hogan, Heirs, and assigns against myself and my heirs and against the heirs of Moses Duke lawfully claiming or to claim the same or any part thereof. Witness my hand and seal this eleventh day of April in the year of our lord One thousand eight hundred and thirty four and on the fifty eight year of the Independence of the United States of America

Said District.
Personally appeared before me John J. Little and made Oath that he saw Burrel B. Duke, sign, seal and deliver the above Conveyance for the uses and purposes therein mentioned and that he with Joseph Mickle, in the presence of each other witness the due execution hereof.
