Barnwell District Deeds, Book B, pages 76-77, Deed conveyance, Duke to Ayers
John Duke from Tatnall County, GA to John Ayers from Barnwell District, SC, $200 for 530 acres surveyed for Mathias Walker April 14, 1791, located near head of Little Saltcatcher and known by the name of Double Ponds. Conveyance was dated January 30, 1805. It was witnessed by Moses Duke, Ann Duke, and Sarah Loveless. On March 2, 1805, Moses Duke took oath he, with the others, witnessed the conveyance. The deed was also recorded March 2, 1805.
