"State of South Carolina
Know all Men by these presents that I Richard Burge of fairfield County and the state aforesaid planter for and in Consideration of Twenty five pounds Current money to me paid by Jonathan Belton of the same County and state aforesaid Merchant have granted bargained sold and Released and by these presents do grant bargain sell and Release unto the said Jonathan belton all that plantation or Tract of Land Containing two Hundred Acres more or less situate and lying in Camden District on little Morrises Creek Waters of Wateree River on the south west side of said River Bounding when laid out on all sides by vacant land and hath such shapes forms and marks as appears by a platt thereof which said Land was granted to Gardner Ford under the hand of his Excelancy William Moultree Esq. Governor and Commander in Chief in and over the state aforesaid and the Great seal of the same Bearing Date first day of January 1787 and Recorded in the Secratary's office in grant Book 0000 page 495 and by the said Gardner Ford the said Land was Conveyed unto Thomas Mickle by lease and Release bearing date the seventeenth day of september 1790 and Recorded in fairfield County Clerks office in Book H page 299 -- 300 and by the said Thomas Mickle now deceased it was left by Will to and in the power of the said Jonathan Belton now his Executors to sell and Convey the same and by the said Jonathan Belton as Executor the said Land was Conveyed unto the said Richard burge by lease bearing date the thirtieth day of December 1797 and now by him the said Richard Burge the said plantation or Tract of two hundred Acres of Land is sold and by these presents Conveyed back unto him the said Jonathan Belton together with all and singular the rights members hereditaments and appurtenances to the said premises belonging or in any wise incident or appertaining To have and to hold all and singular the premises before Mentioned unto the said Jonatnan Belton his Heirs and assigns forever and I do hereby bind myself my heirs Executors and administrators to warrant and forever defend the said plantation or tract of two hundred acres of land more or less and all and singular the said premises unto the said Jonathan Belton his heirs and assigns against myself and my heirs and against every person whomsoever lawfully claiming or to claim the same or any part thereof -- Witnesseth my hand and seal this sixth day of december in the year our Lord one thousand and seven hundred and ninety nine and in the twenty ninth year of the Independence of the united states of America

John Armstrong being duly Sworn Saith he saw Richard Burge SignSeal and as his act and Deed deliver the within written Deed of Conveyance for the uses & purposes mentioned  at the Same time Saw Bynum Burge & James Elkin with himself sign their names as Witnesses to the Same --
